MGBCE

The 16th Annual Municipal Green Building Conference and Expo (MGBCE), an event focused on making an environmentally-friendly impact on Southern California held on April 20 is calling for speaker abstracts for the event. Abstracts are due February 10. The 2017 MGBCE theme is Connected Cities: Economic, Environmental, and Equity Solutions. Across the Southern California region, the top ten trending topics in cities include (in decending order): Health; technology & data; diversity & inclusion; energy & environment; housing; education; infrastructure; budgets; public safety; and economic development.

City administrations are seeking ways to forge an inclusive path forward, especially at the local level. Event organizers are seeking solutions at the building, city and regional scale and encourage participation and submission of abstracts to share innovative green building expertise in wellness, efficiency actions, technology and policy. MGBCE is Southern California’s longest-running and largest sustainability and green building event focusing on the unique needs and concerns for municipalities, architects, contractors, and engineers.
