Chicago-based company Gilasi, a manufacturer of engineered recycled glass stone offers products made of fused recycled materials. Live-edge timbers lend natures grace to the polished elegance of Gilasi surface. Together, the look these materials create is striking, at once contemporary and natural. Each piece is unique.

In the photo above, the white material is Gilasi Micro which is made of 85 percent recycled glass and the live edge White Oak planks are from a tree that fell in Chicago and was milled and cured at Horrigan’s.

FUSED creates stunning furniture and other home and office décor. FUSED is the perfect material to use in designing customized pieces. Alternative woods such as Hickory can be used to create a special look. And Gilasi’s color and aggregate selection is completely customizable. FUSED panels are produced up to 6 feet in length, up to 36 inches in width and 3/4 in. thickness. FUSED is made to order, so custom sizing is available. Panels are created to maximize yield and reduce waste. Edge finishing is available on all panels.

An American-made, recycled product, with 77 to 85 percent recycled content by weight, Gilasi can help LEED-certified projects gain the following credits: MR 4.1 – Recycled content 10 percent. MR 4.2 – Recycled content 20 percent. Innovation in Design recycled content 30 percent or greater. EQ 4.1 – Low emitting materials. Using Gilasi also can contribute to additional Regional Priority LEED credits.
